PARIS APARTMENT FOR LEASE 2 Rue Cyrano De Bergerac, 75018 Paris 18 Click here to download a picture of the Apartment Block and a map of the local area. The closest Airport is Roissy Charles de Gaulle - 20 minutes by taxi (costs approx 30-35 Euros) - when Taxi turns off Peripherique at Porte de Clignancourt (passing by the Stade de France) and travels along bvd Ornano, tell driver to take rue Hermel up past the Mairie 18th and turn right into rue Custine and down rue Francoeur to the first corner which is rue Cyrano de Bergerac). The apartment is also close to Gare du Nord Paris Terminus for Eurostar London-Paris train (by metro if not much luggage, otherwise a small taxi ride - mention rue Custine and rue Francoeur, however get into the taxi before telling him you want the 18th as he has probably been waiting in a queue for some time and will be livid that you are only going a small distance. If arriving from Gare de Lyon, tell taxi driver 18th arrondisement, by rue Custine and into rue Francoeur. This apartment is 44 sq.m, on the first floor of a stone building. The building has Digicode entry, and a security tag for the foyer entry. The apartment has deadlock key entry door. Rue Cyrano de Bergerac is a quiet street, minimal traffic, not in the tourist area of Montmartre. The area is typically original Parisian, mostly built 1860-1900. Rue Cyrano de bergerac was built in 1897 to commemorate the opening of the celebrated play in that year. There is an excellent street market nearby (rue Poteau) open every morning except Monday, several boulangeries quite close and a basic supermarket 100m down rue Francoeur. Boulangeries are traditionally closed on Monday, however, one on rue Caulaincourt is open on Mondays. The nearest Metro, Lamarck Caulaincourt is fairly level 5 minutes' walk (it has a lift as well as stairs since the metro line is quite a way underground). There is a boutique post office opposite the metro entry on rue Lamarck, food shops on rue Caulaincourt and rue Custine, which stay open resonably late and 2 credit card machines on rue Caulaincourt. Metro Jules Joffrin is a short, downhill walk from the apartment opposite the Mairie on rue Ordener, and nearby the street market (closed Mondays) on rue Poteau. There is a credit card machine outside BNP on rue Ordener. The apartment is fully furnished, with double-bed bedroom, modern bathroom with bath/shower, modern kitchen, and living room (with sofa-bed). Bed linen, towels, kitchenware, telephone/fax are supplied. There are maps, guide books, local history information and guides. There is a black folder with information for operating appliances in the apartment, and some recommendations for restaurants, shopping, etc. There is a washing machine (dry clothes at nearby laundrette on rue Caulaincourt - takes 20 mins to dry a load, machine takes 1E & 2E coins). Vacuum cleaner and other cleaning items in hall cupboard. Garbage collection is every day and the garbage bin room for the building is in the entry lobby - door on the right opposite the glass exit door. Letterbox key in top drawer in Living room. Mail should be addressed c/o BOKOR. Rental $1000 Aust per week (GST included), includes electricity. Please call Julius Bokor on 0419 258 432 for further information or reservation. |
